How it connects

Amazon connects through Shopify.

Shopify's Marketplace Connect app links your Amazon seller account to Shopify. The orders you fulfil yourself come into Shopify, and our app sends the NinjaBuy ones to us.

  1. Install NinjaBuy on Shopify

    Our app adds NinjaBuy as a fulfillment location, so Shopify sends us the orders for products we ship.

  2. Link Amazon with Marketplace Connect

    Sign in with your Amazon seller account. Amazon decides which categories and brands you may sell.

  3. Match each offer to a source

    A 1688 or Taobao listing, or stock you keep in our warehouse.

  4. Orders come to us by themselves

    Amazon → Shopify → NinjaBuy. We mark the Shopify order shipped with its tracking number.

Orders Amazon ships from its own warehouses (FBA) never reach us. This route is for the orders you ship yourself.

  • Price and stock sync

    Sold out sets your Amazon quantity to 0 through Shopify. A price rise reprices or pauses the offer, by your rule.

    Each order is paid from your NinjaBuy balance, bought from the seller in China and followed until it reaches us.

  • QC photos

    Every item is opened and photographed in our warehouse. You see the real thing before it ships.

  • Your branded box

    Your box and your packing slip, so Amazon's buyer sees you as the seller and no one else.

Rules to know

On Amazon, you are the seller of record.

Amazon allows dropshipping when you are the seller on every order. Read its policy in Seller Central; in short:

  • Your name on everything

    Amazon asks that you are named as the seller on packing slips, invoices and the outside of the box. Your branded box and insert do exactly that.

  • No one else's paperwork

    A slip or invoice naming another seller comes out before it ships. We repack every item, so the Chinese seller's papers stay with us.

  • Not shipped by another retailer

    Amazon doesn't allow buying from another online retailer and having it shipped to your buyer when the parcel doesn't name you as the seller. Your box and slip do.

  • Returns are yours

    Amazon expects you to accept and handle returns. Decide where they go and what you refund before you list.

An example: the product, its price and its weight are made up. The fees, the tax and the shipping rate are the ones we charge today. Shipping is priced on the weight we measure in our warehouse. Your channel's own fees and your selling price aren't in it.

Questions sellers ask

Is dropshipping allowed on Amazon?
Yes, when you are the seller of record and follow Amazon's drop shipping policy. Read it in Seller Central before you list.
Do you work with FBA?
Not on this route. We ship the orders you fulfil yourself; Amazon ships its FBA orders from its own stock.
Do I need a Shopify store?
Yes. Amazon orders reach us through Shopify's Marketplace Connect and our Shopify app.
Can I sell under a brand I don't own?
Not copies of one. Counterfeits break Amazon's rules and every payment provider's, and our importer warns you when a listing looks branded.
How does tracking reach Amazon?
We add it to the Shopify order, and Marketplace Connect sends it on to Amazon.
Will Amazon's delivery date fit shipping from China?
Only if your shipping settings say the truth. Set handling and transit times for China, and buyers see a date you can meet.
Whose name is on the packing slip?
Yours. We print your slip and pack your insert; the Chinese seller's paperwork never goes in the box.
What does NinjaBuy cost?
The importer, the sync and the apps are free. On each order you pay for the goods, a CN¥12.00 intake fee per item group, shipping and a handling fee per parcel, with a 14% flat tax on those lines.
