Connect Amazon

  1. Install NinjaBuy in your Shopify store

The app registers a shipping location named Fulfilled by NinjaBuy and links your store to your NinjaBuy account. The full walk-through is in the Shopify guide.

  2. Map each product you sell to its listing in China

Import new products with the importer, or map a variant you already sell to a Taobao, Weidian or 1688 listing in the app.

  3. Add Shopify Marketplace Connect and sign in with your Amazon seller account

Amazon decides which categories and brands your account may sell. Approvals happen on Amazon's side.

  4. Match each Amazon offer to a NinjaBuy product

Create new offers from your Shopify products, or link offers you already have, in Marketplace Connect. Every product behind them must be mapped to a listing in China or to stock on your shelf.

  5. Set handling and transit times for China

Amazon shows buyers a delivery date from your shipping settings. Make sure it is one you can meet.

  6. Sell

Seller-fulfilled orders reach us by themselves, and the shipment is confirmed on Amazon with its tracking.

On Amazon, you are the seller of record

Amazon allows dropshipping when you are the seller on every order. Read its policy in Seller Central before you list: Amazon's drop shipping policy. In short:

  • Your name on everything
You are named as the seller on packing slips, invoices and the outside of the box. Your branded box and insert do that; see Packaging and QC.
  • No one else's paperwork
Slips or invoices naming another seller come out before it ships. We repack every item, so the Chinese seller's papers stay with us.
  • Not bought retail and shipped direct
Buying from another online retailer and having it shipped to your buyer is not allowed. Wholesale sources (1688), or stock you hold with us, are the safer routes.
  • Returns are yours
You accept and handle returns. Decide where they go and what you refund before you list; see returns.

TrackingNinjaBuy → Shopify → AmazonWe add the tracking number to the Shopify fulfillment; Marketplace Connect passes it on.
StockNinjaBuy → Shopify → AmazonA sold-out source sets the Shopify quantity to 0, by your sync rules; Marketplace Connect updates the listing.
PriceNinjaBuy → Shopify → AmazonA cost rise reprices or pauses the product, by your sync rules. Whether Amazon takes the Shopify price is a setting in Marketplace Connect.
New productsNinjaBuy → Shopify → AmazonThe importer pushes a draft to Shopify; you publish it to Amazon from Marketplace Connect.

Amazon's fees and your margin

Amazon takes a referral fee that depends on the category, and may charge other selling fees. Put your rate into the importer's marketplace fee estimate so the margin reflects it. Our own fees are in Fees.
