Connect a store
Reach Facebook Marketplace
Marketplace has no tool for outside sellers to list through. Your eBay listings can still appear there, and those sales reach us as eBay orders.

How a Marketplace sale reaches us
eBay places some of its listings on Facebook Marketplace. A buyer who finds yours there buys it on eBay, so the sale is an ordinary eBay order: it lands in Shopify through Marketplace Connect and reaches us through our Shopify app.
- A buyer finds it on MarketplaceYour eBay listing, shown on Facebook
- eBay partner listingThe sale is an eBay order
- Marketplace ConnectIt lands in Shopify
- the NinjaBuy appShopify sends it to us
- Paid from your balance, bought in ChinaWe pay the seller and follow the parcel to our warehouse
- Checked with photosYou see the real item before it leaves
- Shipped in your boxThe tracking number goes back to the order
Set it up
- Install NinjaBuy in your Shopify store
The app registers a shipping location named Fulfilled by NinjaBuy and links your store to your NinjaBuy account. The full walk-through is in the Shopify guide.
- Map each product you sell to its listing in China
Import new products with the importer, or map a variant you already sell to a Taobao, Weidian or 1688 listing in the app.
- Connect eBay with Shopify Marketplace Connect
The eBay guide walks through it.
- List what eBay allows
1688 wholesale items, or stock you own in our warehouse, as eBay's drop shipping policy asks.
- Check eBay's help pages for partner listings in your country
They say whether your listings can appear on Marketplace, and how to opt in or out.
Which Meta route is which
| Where the buyer shops | How it reaches us | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| Facebook Marketplace | Your eBay listing, shown on Marketplace. An eBay order. | eBay |
| A Facebook or Instagram shop | Meta's Facebook & Instagram app on Shopify. A Shopify order. | Shopify |
| A post you write on Marketplace yourself | Not supported: Marketplace gives us no way to receive the order or send tracking back. | – |
Two rulebooks: eBay's and Meta's
eBay's rules applyA partner listing is still an eBay listing: dropship from wholesale suppliers or sell stock you own.
Meta decides what may be shownMeta keeps its own list of products that may not appear in commerce listings. Check it before you pick what to sell.
Troubleshooting
| What you see | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| My eBay listings don't show on Marketplace | eBay and Meta choose which listings appear, and only in some countries. | Check eBay's help pages for partner listings. Nothing on our side changes it. |
| Shopify shows the fulfillment request as rejected | A line on the order is not mapped to a NinjaBuy listing. The rejection names the lines. | Map those variants in the app, then request fulfillment again from the Shopify order. |
| The order never reached NinjaBuy | The product ships from another location, so Shopify sent the order there instead. | In Shopify, set the product to ship from Fulfilled by NinjaBuy. Orders placed before the change stay where they were sent. |
| The order shows as held | Your balance could not cover it. We never buy on credit. | Top up; held orders go ahead on their own. See held orders. |
| No tracking on the order yet | Tracking goes back only once the parcel has left our warehouse. | Check the order's step in your NinjaBuy account. Once it shows Shipped, the number is on the Shopify fulfillment. |
| A cancellation was refused | We grant a cancellation until the order is packed into a parcel. After that, it is already on its way out. | Ask us from the order's conversation; a return is still possible in some cases. See cancellations. |
| The app stopped answering after an uninstall | Uninstalling drops the app's access to your store. The link to your NinjaBuy account is kept. | Install it again and open it once. Your mappings and account link are still there. |
